What is Band Camp?
Band Camp is two weeks (typically the first two weeks of August) where the entire band comes to Myers Park and we begin to learn our show, as well as other basic skills such as marching, choreography, and show music.

This is MANDATORY for every member of the band.

Football Games
What does the Band do at Football Games?
The band goes to all home games and some away games. During football games we are there to cheer on the team and we play stands tunes; we also perform our show during half-time at home games. During the football games we are expected to stand for the entire game and support the football team.
Band Competitions
What is a Band Competition?
At competitions we present our show to a panel of judges and are rated against other bands. These competitions are on Saturdays and are all day events; we normally go to 5 or 6 per season. For most of the band, this is considered the most enjoyable part of the season because after we perform we all get to enjoy the competition with our friends and watch other bands perform. They are especially exciting when we get to bring home a lot of trophies!
